Cookies (and related storage)

Conform the European cookie directive, and resulting laws in various European countries, OpenMotics needs to inform its users about cookies and related storage that will be used by the OpenMotics cloud. Cookies (and related storage like "HTML5 storage") are necessary for various parts of the OpenMotics cloud, and we want to inform the user about all cookies that will be placed on his or her system.

By clicking the "Accept" button below, you grant OpenMotics permission to place following cookies onto the current system. Please note that this consent will be required for every browser or device you use to visit the OpenMotics cloud. This is a technical limitation that we can't work around.

The cookies (and related storage) that will be placed on your system:

• Cookies, small text files that are stored on your system and can be accessed by the site that placed them.
  • sessionid: This cookie contains a unique identifier that is used to remember the user you're logged in with. Without the cookie, it would be impossible to log in onto the OpenMotics cloud.
  • csrftoken: This cookie contains a security hash to make the OpenMotics cloud as secure as possible.
  • __utma, __utmc, __utmz, __utmv: These are Google Analytics cookies. OpenMotics uses Google Analytics to gather statistics about how the customer use the OpenMotics cloud. We use that data to continue to improve the OpenMotics cloud.
• HTML5 storage, a data container on your system that can contain various data entries with an almost unlimited space. Only the site that place entries can access them.
  • energy_badge_data: This data entry contains energy stream data that is used by the graph of the real time energy badges. They make sure the graph isn't lost when navigating to another page.
  • energy_badge_index: This data entry contains the last type of data you were viewing per real time energy badge. If you for example were displaying the price per month for the tag "Entertainment", this type will be shown by default the next time you open the page.
  • various: This data entry contains various settings like for example last page you were visiting. If you re-visit the OpenMotics cloud again, we can take you to where you left, based on that data.
  • cookie_consent: The data entry will contain the fact that you agreed to this policy, so we don't have to show this page every time you use the OpenMotics cloud.
